Freight Execution
Approval pending notification for transporter delivered shipments
Presently, when a transporter marks a delivery as completed, their interface displays "Delivered," giving the impression that the task is finished. However, the delivery is only finalized upon the shipper's approval, which is denoted as "Delivery Pending" on the shipper's end. To resolve this, a new status banner, "GRN Approval Pending," has been introduced for the transporter web portal. This banner will indicate that although the transporter has marked the delivery, approval from the shipper is pending. This helps indicate to the transporter when their delivered shipments are approved and ready for invoicing.
Provision for shipper users to enter comments at debit sub-total
With this release, we are enabling shippers to capture why the debit amount is modified—increased or decreased— at the time of approval. This allows shippers to capture reasons for why they are waiving off charges such as Shortage, Damage, or Carton damage. This also helps the finance teams of the shipper to access the audit trail at the time of settling accounts. This allow shippers to provide context for why amounts are being deducted/added to the transporter's invoice without relying on tags or other workarounds, streamlining the communication process.
Reducing duplicate actions for Last-mile shipments
For a few shippers, first mile and last mile shipments are part of their operations. This tends to mislead due to identical timestamps for each pickup of the gate in the first mile movement. To address this, a new toggle has been introduced for clients that have last-mile enabled on their Pando account. For such accounts, the users have the ability to select a toggle and enable the same timestamp to be replicated for all drop-offs as opposed to individually marking drop-off for every pick up to the same destination.
Vehicle number availability from FMS
Pando now supports capability to integrate with the Fleet Management System (FMS) to acquire vehicle Estimated Time of Arrival (ETA) for planning purposes. The Vehicle details master has now been upgraded to support depot and movement data based on runs. It also supports manual data uploads in case of integration failure. The integration involves hitting an API to call the FMS system for ETA updates and storing the data accordingly. The frequency at which the data is updated can be configured to run at 1 hour, 15 minutes before, or manually for manual runs. This has been enabled for select customers.
Flat Variable charges supported in Payments
With this release, Pando now supports additional columns in the rate matrix upload to support variable charges based on weight. These new columns include "Flat Variable Charge," "Weight Slab - Min," and "Weight Slab - Max." These changes are aimed at supporting Per KG contracts, where category-wise charges are already supported, and Per KG slab functionality exists. There will be no alteration in handling the multiplying factor, and the system will reject any attempt to apply these changes to contracts other than Per KG contracts.
Vehicle Master—Field name removal
The field 'EXCLUDE MATERIAL DIVISION' is removed fromfrom the UI and bulk upload. In its place, the 'EXCLUDE MATERIAL CATEGORY' column has been introduced to both upload and export functionalities. In the upload process, the 'EXCLUDE MATERIAL CATEGORY' will always be cleared and updated.
Privacy and TC disclaimer now displayed on the Transporter web portal
Terms and Conditions (T&C) and Privacy Policy details will now be visible on the transporter web portal.
Freight Optimization
Optimization logic: Shipment and Fleet Priority logic in single iteration mode
With this release a new priority logic has been introduced for clients who maintain dedicated fleets. For such clients, the order of fleet priority goes Own > Dedicated > Market trucks. Other prioritization logic for materials and date-based priorities such as Earliest EDD, Earliest Order creation date, and Latest Order creation date have also been introduced. Introduction of such priorities will positively impact on cost savings. This has been enabled for select customers.
Introducing capabilities to configure rulesets in Optima constraints page
The Optima constraints page now supports capability to configure rules such as field-based prioritization (e.g., highest material creation date or invoice value) and material-based prioritization such as order type requirements (e.g., VOR sent via 'Air' truck only). This has been enabled for select customers.
Provision to change vehicle requirement date in optima output listing page
Pando now supports the capability to update the required vehicle date on the Optima listing page. A new permission has been introduced to edit the vehicle requirement date on the edit page, with restrictions against backdating and specifying the date. This allows users to plan for dispatch even as the SKUs/materials are getting ready to be shipped.
Drop-down based search for ship-to and sold-to
In line with newer security upgrades, special character search was rescinded from the Optima listing page. To compensate for this, Pando now supports ship-to and sold-to drop-off reference ID dropdown-based searches in the Optima output listing page. This involves listing all ship-to and sold-to references from the current Optima job, restricted to consignees available within the Optima job rather than the entire consignee master. Users will now be able to search based on either name or reference ID.
Actual quantity and Rounded up quantity to be displayed in 'Freight Calculation' page
There was feedback from users regarding the calculation logic due to discrepancies between billed quantity and the rounded-up quantity used for per-case computation. To address this, Pando now displays both the actual quantity and the rounded-up quantity in the 'Freight Calculation' page for all barring select customers.
